Gather an Inventory of Knowledge
The Gap Analysis phase.
Yes, you know you have an issue. But the issue is based on poor results. You need to identify the behavior creating the poor result. Week 1 is your observation week. Ask the team a few questions like these:
- What is their plan to make an improvement?
- What does success look like?
- Can your team measure the result on their own?
- Can they show you how they would train a teammate?
- Can they show you how they would coach an underperforming teammate?
- Can they identify why this issue is the focus?
