This seems like a boring topic but how you communicate defines you as a leader. Let’s be honest, we’ve all had our poor communication moments. Whether we didn’t set expectations clearly, we blended roles leading to confusion, or worse we let things happen hoping for the best, we’ve all done wrong. We might remember those. The positive moments are the ones that can bring lasting change.

This system works from c-suite to frontline. It must be because that is how a normal business communicates. Do not think of this as a la carte. This is a roadmap, choose to go top down, bottom up, or all at once. I prefer all at once.

Conduct your Yearly Strategic Planning meeting. Schedule the next Quarterly Strategic Review. Schedule the next Monthly Goal Review. Schedule the Weekly Leadership Huddle. Schedule the Weekly One-on-Ones. Train and coach, the team on Day to Day and shift to shift systems.
